On today's date, October 15, 2023, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, led a ceremony honoring the esteemed legacy of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. Accompanying her were APJMJ Sheik Dawood, the grandnephew of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Mrs. APJMJ Sheik Dawood, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's great-grandnephew, APJMJS Azeem Ahmed, paying heartfelt tribute to his invaluable contributions

On the momentous occasion of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's 92nd birth anniversary, the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation organized a special event titled "Chandrayan-3 Triumph: Inspiring Bright Minds" in Rameswaram. The event, held earlier today, brought together students from across India alongside Dr. S Somnath, the esteemed Chairman of ISRO.

The event kicked off with great enthusiasm as young minds showcased their innovative projects and ideas to Dr. Somnath. His presence added an extra layer of inspiration, recalling his collaboration with Dr. Kalam during their time at ISRO.

Addressing the students, Dr. Somnath emphasized the importance of nurturing young talents in space exploration, drawing parallels to the recent success of Chandrayan-3. He encouraged students to dream big, envisioning them as the future pioneers of space science.

Beyond honoring Dr. Kalam's memory, the event served as a platform to galvanize young minds towards greater achievements in the field of space exploration. The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation remains dedicated to fostering innovation and scientific curiosity, echoing Dr. Kalam's lifelong advocacy.

In honor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's 92nd birth anniversary, Scientist Dilip Deshmukh inaugurated the Transforming Tomorrow TechXcelerate 2023 conference in Parbhani, Maharashtra. The event was graced by esteemed personalities including Farmer President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Grand Nephews, APJ MJ Sheik Dawood and APJ MJ Sheik Saleem, as well as Vice Chancellor Indramani R. RagSudha, IPS Superintendent of Police (SP Parbhani) Madhav Salger, and Anand Patharikar, Director of Shivaji Engineering College. Students from all corners of India participated, making it a truly enriching experience.

Today, in Maharashtra's Parbhani, the APJAKSLV 2023 World Record certificate was distributed, marking a significant milestone. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Martin Foundation Coimbatore, SpaceZone India, and all our main supporters for their invaluable contributions.

Union Minister Amit Shah unveiled the 'Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: Memories Never Die' book in Rameswaram on July 29, 2023. During his visit, he explored the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam House, Mission of Life Gallery Museum, and the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Memorial.

Proud moments from the House of Kalam as APJMJ Sheik Saleem, Grand Nephew of Dr. Kalam and Co-Founder of AKIF, flagged off the formal commencement of the event "PALK 2023".

"Disability is not Inability; it is not an obstacle for success." - This statement resonates deeply with Sriram Srinivasan R., the swimming champion who has defied all odds. Born with cerebral palsy and mental retardation, Sriram's perseverance and courage have propelled him to greatness.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Sriram's parents, Rajashekaran and Vanitha, have been his pillars of support. Despite his disabilities, Sriram has emerged victorious in numerous swimming competitions, clinching several national titles along the way.

Today, Sriram achieved a monumental feat by swimming across the Palk Strait between Sri Lanka and India, from Talaimannar to Dhanushkodi. His indomitable spirit serves as an inspiration to all, proving that with determination and resilience, no obstacle is insurmountable.

Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, paid a visit to House of Kalam Rameswaram. He was honored by the Secretary of AKIF, Shri APJM Jainulabudeen Ayya, and Managing Trustee Dr. APJM Nazema Maraikayar Amma, alongside Co-Founder Dr. APJMJ Sheik Saleem and family members of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

During his visit, the Hon'ble Governor appreciated the rich history of our esteemed event, the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023. 

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, House of Kalam - Rameshwaram, in association with Space Zone India - Chennai and Martin Charitable Trust, proudly presents the milestone project titled “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023”.

This mission will integrate 5000 students from colleges and schools (from Grades VI to XII) across the country to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to enable them to design and develop 150 PICO Satellites.

These 150 PICO satellites will be launched through a sounding Rocket on 19th February 2023 from the Pattipulam village of Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, and India.

This project is a successor to our prestigious project titled "Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Space Research Payload Cubes Challenge 2021", which was jointly and successfully executed by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, House of Kalam - Rameshwaram, in association with Space Zone India - Chennai and Martin Charitable Trust. 

This program involved 1347 students from schools (6th to 12th grades), Engineering colleges, Science & Humanities domains, and they were given training through virtual classes and hands-on training for designing and developing 100 Femto satellites. These 100 Femto satellites were launched through a single high-altitude scientific balloon from Rameshwaram on 7th February 2021.

The mission was lauded by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi. The success of the mission was recognized as a World Record event by Guinness World Records, World Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, Indian Book of Records, and Assist World Records.

The success of the mission echoed everywhere in the Indian media, social media, and even in Times Square, New York, bringing laurels to the Indian Students' community. 

Explore the legacy of Janab Dr. Farooq Abdullah, former President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. He also served as the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy from 2009 to 2014. 

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the son of the 1st elected Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Abdullah, and father of former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, visited the residence and office of the Missile Man of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, at the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, House Of Kalam Rameswaram.
