The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, established by the 11th President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, is headquartered at the House of Kalam in Rameswaram.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation (AKIF) was launched on October 11, 2015, in loving memory of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam by the House of Kalam. The foundation works to fulfill his dreams and advance his ideas.

The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation (AKIF) was founded by his elder brother and family, with support from Dr. Abdul Kalam's colleagues. During the latter part of his life, he contemplated with his peers and family members about setting up an organization where his vision could become a reality. 

Unfortunately, death snatched away this opportunity from him. However, his family and colleagues decided to work tirelessly towards fulfilling his wishes, and thus AKIF was born. apj abdul kalam foundation
