This celebration marked a significant milestone for the former student who returned to the college after 22 years, filled with nostalgia. The inaugural function of the Dr. G.M.M. Health Care (Chennai) and Chennai District Chess Association's collaborative event, the Dr. G.M.M - A.P.J Abdul Kalam Trophy Chess Tournament, took place today. This event witnessed the presence of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's brother, A.P.J.M. Sheik Dawood, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the International Association of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Global Foundation, and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's nephew, A.P.J.M. Sheik Dawood, was honored.
Gracing the occasion was esteemed guests, including Grand Master RB. Ramesh, Woman Grand Master Arthi Ramasamy, and Grand Master R. Praggnanandhaa, who presented the awards and made the event truly special.

The meeting of eminent personalities from various fields took place at Hotel Raghna Residency, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on September 10, 2022. Dr. Mayilsamy Annadurai, the leader of this meeting, was joined by 47 distinguished individuals. The gathering commenced at 10:30 AM and concluded at 3:30 PM.
This event was organized under the exceptional guidance of Mr. Thangavelu, Managing Director of Agni Steels, who received accolades for his exemplary leadership. HarGharTiranga initiative at the House of Kalam, Rameswaram.
Mr. Jitender Kumar, Lieutenent Commander and Officer Commanding of 4N Detachment in Olaikuda Village, Rameswaram, unfurled the Indian National Flag as part of the #HarGharTiranga initiative at the House of Kalam, Rameswaram.
Present at the event were members of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's family, including his nephew Mr. APJM. Jainulabudeen B.A (Economics) and niece Dr. APJM. Nazima Maraikayar M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., as well as his grand nephew Mr. APJMJ Sheik Saleem MBA.
More than 100 students from various schools and followers of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam participated in this event at the House of Kalam in Rameswaram.
Thiru K Annamalai, the President of BJP, visited HOK
Thiru K Annamalai Avl, the President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu State, paid a visit to the residence of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam at the House of Kalam in Rameswaram.
During his visit, Thiru K Annamalai Avl unfurled the Indian National Flag as part of the #HarGharTiranga initiative, alongside members of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's family. Present at the event were Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's nephew, Mr. APJM. Jainulabudeen B.A (Economics), his niece Dr. APJM. Nazima Maraikayar M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., and his grand nephew Mr. APJMJ Sheik Saleem MBA.
Also in attendance were Thiru E M T Kathiravan, the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Mr. K. Muraleedharan, State Secretary Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with members of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and family friends.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by IGCAR
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - August 2022
The "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" programme initiated by IGCAR (Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research) for Anu Awareness is set to commence on July 23, 2022. This comprehensive initiative includes an exhibition featuring models and standees showcasing various stages such as Bhabatron and Gamma Irradiator, as well as DAE (Department of Atomic Energy) technologies tailored for societal applications.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be awareness talks and competitions including Quiz, Elocution, Slogan Writing, and Drawing contests.
This extensive programme will span across nine institutions, with the finale scheduled to take place at Kudankulam on August 13, 2022. Each participating institution will take charge of coordinating locally within their area, collaborating with approximately 10 neighboring institutions. The event anticipates the participation of 250 contestants for the quiz, elocution, and other competitions, while around 2,000 students from each institution are expected to visit the exhibition.
The organization of this event is a collaborative effort between IGCAR and DAE units based in Kalpakkam, in partnership with Ariviyal Sangam (Local chapter of Vigyan Bharathi-Vibha), Dr. Abdul Kalam International Foundation in Rameswaram, and the Indian Association for Radiation Protection. Notably, the Dr. Kalam Foundation will contribute approximately 1000 saplings, with 100 being planted in each of the nine institutions and the remaining to be distributed between Kalpakkam and Kudankulam.
7th Year Remembrance Day Event of Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam
In solemn remembrance of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his 7th Year death Anniversary, family members and dignitaries paid their heartfelt tributes at the National Memorial Peikarumbu in Rameswaram. Captain Vikrant Sabnis from INS PARUNDU, Indian Navy, along with esteemed guests, honored Dr. Kalam's legacy by laying flowers at his memorial.
Following this solemn moment, the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, House of Kalam Rameswaram, organized the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial lecture at Vardhini Mahal. The event commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu and included dignitaries such as Thiru Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam MLA, Thiru K. E. Naazarkhan, and Thiru V. Dhatchanamoorthy.
In a celebration of Dr. Kalam's spirit, the foundation presented the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pride of India Awards - 2022, recognizing individuals who epitomize his values. The event featured cultural performances depicting Dr. Kalam's life history through Bharatha Natiyam and Silambam stage performances.
Distinguished guests, including Captain Vikrant Sabnis, and esteemed members of the House of Kalam, graced the occasion with their presence. The event also saw the launch of notable initiatives such as the book "KALAMIN NEURON" and the Kalam Space Challenge 2022 Contest, symbolizing Dr. Kalam's enduring legacy in science, education, and societal development.
